      I took apart the carb. on my K 45 and found the float pin bent. Is there a safe way to straighten it ? It looks to made of steel.

        Fortunately, that is the best place for it to bend. It should straighten out easily,—just bend it carefully. Even if it is not perfectly straight, it will work well. If it breaks, let me know….

          Mercuryman, does your motor still have the exhaust release valve lever on the steering handle?
          Looking for a picture.

            NO, cable missing also lever
