      I think that flywheel cover is from an aftermarket rewind starter.

        Not the original block….interesting.

        Still looking for a replacement carb, any leads appreciated.

          That casting on the flywheel is from a 1930-’32 Johnson Ree-Koil starter. Also sold as an accessory. Your cylinder block is later 1930s.

            Thanks Hotrod for the starter info. I think I have caught a glimpse of one in other pics but didn’t know what I was looking at.

            I have another flywheel and ID plate that will eventually go on.
