I have a KA37 serial 253589 I would like to know the original color of this model. I want to restore to original color and hang in my restaurant. Found some online but appears people make there on colors. Thanks

Someone here (probably Garry) will know the colours.

In the meantime, here’s a link with some info.

When aluminum started replacing cast iron and brass, the aluminum lower units were polished because the mercuric oxide used in the polish seemed to inhibit corrosion. . . 😉

Thanks for the info. Does anyone have a picture of a KA37 restored

One last question and I will stop bugging. Do you know of the paint colors names or codes.

Here’s one. Mines not ready for a photo shoot yet.

The tank on mine is painted with base/clear automotive paint. It’s a Ford color and might be Silver Frost. The gearcase, flywheel, and brass prop are polished while the rest of it is painted Dull Aluminum out of a rattle can. It’s not quite finished yet so I don’t have a photo of the complete motor.
