      I wish mine had come with the sign, but it was lost over the years.

        It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the sign itself looks quite thin. The rest of the stand may be heavy cast as these old Elto stands are.

        Where’s Oldelto? He probably has one of these stands squirrled away in his collection! ☺

          I might make mine out of stainless, I know not original, but will last. I can see the originals rusting under the paint.

            Just dug through my collection of owners manuals, I cannot find any mention of the stands in the literature for the 20s or 30s. I guess at that time, they didn’t think down the road we would be so interested in the stands!

              My computer was down for a while. Didn’t check this board lately.
              The sign/stand you are asking about is 1927/28.

                The best is when you go to buy a small collection of random motors, and find an INDIAN motor stand. happened to me a couple of years ago…and it was going into the scrap pile had I not accidentally bought it!
