      Monday I picked up a couple of interesting (to me) motors. One of them is a Johnson P-40. It looked to be complete and in pretty good shape albeit being seized up. Then I took off the flywheel and found this;

      and this;

      I was wondering if someone could tell me the part numbers for the flywheel and the crankshaft and perhaps if these were used on any other models?
      Thanks in advance

      P.S. The other motor was a 1938 Thor/Sea King 2.4 but that will be a different thread.

        Ouchies, never saw that before…

        According to the “Parts Common to More Than One Model Motor” by Johnson Motors, the crank is unique to the P-40 and PR-40. The flywheel is common to the P-30, P-35, P-40, PR-40, P-45, and TR-40.

          The crank shaft can be repaired, especially if the rest of crank is good.

            Thanks for the replies. Now to keep my eyes open for a new flywheel and start carefully disassembling.
