I’m getting to the point in my PO-15 rejuvenation where I’m
thinking about decals. I see American Outboard has
the PO decals, consisting of the big Johnson Sea Horse
decal that wraps around the back and ends of the tank,
and also the two decals for the front of the decal with
      the starting and oiling instructions.
I noted they did not show the Sea Horse decal that
goes on the carburetor access plate.
Then I got to looking at photos of someone else’s PO-15, (attached)
and it looks more like an embossed Sea Horse rather
      than a decal.
Mine was just a painted brass plate and I assumed the
      decal was destroyed long ago.
What exactly is suppose to be on the carb plate?
      Thanks!

The originals are embossed and painted as far as I know. Same as on the Johnson 300 carbs.

My 300 and PO plates are pretty banged up so I thought of making some out of aluminum and getting my decal guy to make some decals for them. It sounds like someone beat me to it!

Well, I don’t do metal embossing, so I guess I’ll attempt to
find or make a horsey decal!
          Thanks!
