I got my 10 HP all taken apart, cleaned and re-painted. I have this part left and I have forgotten where is goes. I don’t have a parts manual for the QD-19 and for the life of me, I can’t figure out there this goes!
Attached is a picture of the part. Do you know where it goes?

January 4, 2019 at 5:52 pm #161936Well, sure beats me. I did a total teardown on my QD-19 a couple years ago and did a paint job and I sure don’t remember having a piece that looked anything like that. i just went through all my photo files of the teardown and reassembly and don’t recognize that piece at all.

January 7, 2019 at 1:21 pm #162132I looked at the QD19 parts breakdown for the 1958 Johnson 10hp, I don’t see that part either….I don’t think it is part of the fuel tank, and don’t really recognize it as hardware for any accessory either….But, who knows….I guess you will know it if you need it somewhere….
January 7, 2019 at 2:58 pm #162143Well, it certainly could be a part that just got mixed up and accidentally put into the QD-19 stack of parts. I am also restoring an RD-17 but I don’t see where it goes on that motor either.
So, Maybe I’ll just chalk it up to “extra parts” I seem to often have when I put something back together! Can’t be all that important…right???
Thank you all for your help tho.
Happy New Year!
