      Members were kind enough to provide method for installing a kill switch on my RD-18. This motor does not have factory installed kill wiring. One set of points has a wire running from them to over rev protection. I was directed to install a second wire, join them and run to grounded kill switch. My question is this, do I need remove mag plate to do this? If I remove mag plate can I leave points and magneto installed? If possible I don’t want to disassemble everything and then need reposition the mags.
