I have a 60’s Johnson 3 hp Model number JW-16 serial number 2012797. I’m filling out the paperwork to register the boat I just built and the paperwork asks for the year built of my motor. Can anyone give me the year based on the serial number?

marine.com jumps the jw 16 for some reason … parts likely same/close to JW 15 or jw17 or they have a type error since JW 17 is liste twice ??
