I would like to know the year of my Johnson TD 20, S/N 630177. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That serial number would be a 1948 year model.

I don’t know where he looked, but there is a Johnson serial number list in The Old Outboard Book, by Peter Hunn.

You can also do it here but you have to sort of back into it.

When you get around to running it, you will need new Leather Primer Seals and instructions with diagrams to install them. If so, send $10.00 cash (no checks) and a SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) to: Lloyd Lautner, 9289 North Long Lake Road, Traverse City Michigan 49685.
Sorry if this sounds like an advertisement, but I tried multiple times to post an ad in the Classified section without success.
