I’m just thing about “options” with my remaining TD and TN Johnson parts,
and I pondered ……….
Q. Will the crankshafts interchange?
The TD is showing part # 41-301-392, and the
TN shows part # 302445
I tried plugging the numbers in at Marine Engine, and both
came up “No such part found”. I tried dropping the “41” on the TD number,
adding zeros, etc.
Will a TN powerhead work on a TD lower unit?
The powerheads look pretty similar, but the TN motors use the carbon seal
on the crank bottom, the TD did not, the TD used a driveshaft tube, the TN
did not. I have a TN parts motor with seemingly good compression, so
the wheels were turning, thinking about possibilities.
