Hello everyone. I was just given a johnson tracker and not sure of the hp. The Model and serial are unreadable. The only numbers I could get was the Welch plug on the motor which is G3013302 and the number on the carb is fq432700. The guy who gave it to me said it’s 25hp but it looks bigger than that. Don’t need any parts just would like to know what it is. I’m thinking 30-35hp. Any help would be appreciated. My search’s have come up blank. Thanks, Dave Sko
November 30, 2017 at 1:52 pm #68103Can you get the model number of the engine for us? Otherwise, I have to research what engine family used that carburetor

November 30, 2017 at 3:21 pm #68107Serial number is too old to come up in BRP records. That carb part #432700 must be a cast number, it doesn’t come up either. We are going to have to have something else as a clue? A picture, how many spark plugs (cylinders) does it have, horsepower, something to get us started. Picture would be best as I’m sure someone would reconize it.

November 30, 2017 at 3:55 pm #68111The OMC built 20-35 motors of the 1980s-1990s, when they were rebadging them for Tracker, were all basically the same motor with differences related to intake manifold and carb size, so a 35 wouldn’t look bigger than a 20. The 20 and 25 would have a restricted intake – maybe 3/4 inch in diameter, while the 30/35 would have a hole in the intake manifold about the same size as that of the carb bolted to it.
November 30, 2017 at 4:25 pm #68113Again the model and serial number are unreadable. It’s a two cylinder and the block looks exactly like my two other johnson and Evinrude 35hp motors. I will get some pictures when I return home. Thanks Dave

December 1, 2017 at 1:14 am #68125Thanks guys, did some further inspection. Sanded some crappy paint on the cowl and revealed a 25hp badge. It’s a thru prop exhaust one piece lower unit. Don’t know how to upload pictures here.
