      Were these “twist lock” grease zerks on my 1929 Johnson A-45 original equipment?
      Research seems to indicate that they were used on Fords of the same era.
      Finally found a photo on Ebay of the appropriate grease gun.

      Not sure if these zerks were Mr. Alemite’s or Oscar Zerk’s creation, but
      it looks like they went out of fashion in the early 1930’s.

      Don’t think I’ll purchase a special grease gun, but if the zerks are original,
      then I’ll grease the motor by other means, and re-install the originals.

      Can’t believe the on sticking out of the gear case never got broke off!

        I remember my dad had one of those grease guns when I was a tad. Can’t say I remember him ever using it.

          I have one of those grease guns and I have never used it.
          It was my grandfathers and as far as I know he used it on his Model T Ford truck……….he had a small carrying business. back in the 1930s
