hi guys , I am about to start a 1958 5.5  johnson sea horse with the two line fuel tank presure sytem, as I am sure you now there is no priming ball involved here, so how does the gas originaly get from the tank to the motor if all the lines are MT and no gas at the motor, is simply turning the motor over dry a few times enough to cause the pressure through the lines then up to the tank and carb or is there something else i should do first , thanks, Jonathan. hope i was clear in what i was asking.

The tank should have a priming button to do that.

You realize you are now infected and will gather more old motors with no willpower to stop.
