Morning all, so out  on the river after work yesterday running nice….until. I look back I see the high speed adjustment is turning freely back and forth, full revolutions. I haven’t dared mess with the carb adjustments it seemed fine. I try and go with the, ain’t broke don’t break it. So got it home holding it in place.
The  lock nut seems tight, how hard can I lean on it? Is this a packing nut, and the packing is gone?  I now have two Kf7’s now the carbs have the same number. The adjustment screws look  different on each carb, one is thin the other  lot thicker at the end anyway to tell which one is original? Switch the whole carburetor or just the high seed adjustment stuff?
Always thanks for taking the time to help.

These are the low and high mixture screws.
My experience is only from owning a couple.
I believe anything else on there that is spinning
around has been added. Dave will clear things
        up if I’m mistaken.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

I think the high speed adjustment on the motor you got from me was added by someone, but it makes it easier to adjust when under way.  The nut needs to be tightened on the carb, but do not turn in the high speed needle too far in or you can mess it up. 1 1/2 turns out to start for adjustment on the high speed needle.
