I want to remove the crank from the case. I believe I have everything off and out as necessary. The crank will slide back and forth until it hits the reed cage. The reed cage seems to be immovable. (Reed cage bolt is out). Appy a little heat to the case perhaps? I hate to pound to hard on the crank. Thanks for any suggestions, Pat
there is a special tool for that. That being said, make a spacer for the crank throws so you don’t bend the crank. with out the tool others have used heat and tapped it out.

got it out. I needed more heat than I thought it would need. As of right now, I can’t see getting it back in exactly the right spot. Its going to be a tussle I believe!
Yeah, it makes for a good time…..I don’t have the tool to put it back in; but a friend of mine did. He said that even with the tool, it was not 100% assured that the hole in the reed block would end up EXACTLY right, the first tme.
Long live American manufacturing!
