I am just finishing a restoration on a 12’ Commander …very early it seams but can’t seem to get an exact year.
Crestliner is no help at all. The hull is ser# A1432. I think it’s one of the first out of the factory but not positive.
It’s been in the backwoods of Alaska for at least 50 years and will shortly look like brand new. I would really like to know
Exactly when it was made….if anyone knows a way to look it up I’d really appreciate it.

If I remember correctly, records were lost in a fire many years ago so it makes sense that they won’t be able to help you. There is a Crestliner forum that is worth checking out. http://retrocrestliner.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=2 They have a registry page where members can submit information on their boat. Based on serial numbers there it would appear your boat is maybe a 1949 or even earlier. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TgviP2ie3xuGy0brQbc05cGVhdaXwAdUrwozOOy8P30/edit?pli=1&pli=1#gid=0 Check out the forum. Some good information and people there always willing to help.
