Serial # indicates it is a 1918. It has value.
Condition is big factor as to how much.
Sounds like your going to keep it. Want to
get it running and use again?

In the antique outboard hobby “most” motors
don’t have an excepted value. That’s because there
isn’t a lot of people interested in them and the
greatest interest is in the 50′ & 60’s motors.
That’s not to say it doesn’t have value or there
aren’t people out there that would like to have it.
It just that the number is small and its value
varies from person to person so they are only
willing to pay what its worth to them. Pricing
is more about interest. A low price, say $50.00,
should generate a lot of interest. $400.00 likely
won’t generate any interest at all, taking in
condition and location. However there will be
interest where you live if you can reach those
who would be interested in it. There is a free
classified section here where you could list it
for a price you feel is fair. I use to be interested
in these but they have become too heavy for me
so I have almost no interest in buying it. If you
will send me your pictures I will try to give you a
range from a lot of interest to if your lucky
somebody may buy it. What’s fair will be up to
you. You can email me at old.days@yahoo.com

There are still people Wisconsin that would be interested in it.
You just don’t know who they are, and they don’t know its for sale.
I don’t know what that 2 grand motor was but I’m betting you made the right move.

The person you are looking for might see your
add there. You never know but people who may
be looking for motors like yours are more likely
to be searching ad’s on face book and eBay.
However, I suspect I’m like you, and don’t know
how to use them. The “classifieds” on this web
site are free, easy to understand and the people who
are looking for a motor like yours would be more
likely to check here. I rarely sell anything and
when I do its usually to help someone that needs
something but I figured out how to use Craig list and
sold a 1920’s motor there a few years ago. Its free
also. There are quite a few members in Wisconsin
and northern Illinois. Some of them are interested
in motors like yours.
