I’m trying to help out a man to get the year & hp of this motor ( 11342 ). Any help would be appreciated.

Typical Lauson model numbers are like S350, T653, etc. I can ID it with the correct number.

Could be an OB410. I have a couple of those that don’t have the model number on them. On the front, lower center (oil resivore) , there is a number stamped there. On the S and T models the id plate is located center on transom bracket. On the 410 models, they were produced between 1940 and 1947 excluding the war years.

I believe that the last two digits designate the model year …

I guess by now, we all agree it is a 1950 3hp

The "S" and "T" series all have the Model and Serial #s on the saddle bracket – here’s a photo:

Yep, it is right above the serial number.
