Another issue with them is the spring loaded plastic friction shoe which rides on the mag plate to hold the timing/throttle setting. They wear out and the motors speed creeps down to an idle.

Dave…. thanks for the offer I did manage to just reshape the few nicks on the prop and it all looks good… new paint and it will be like new.

Mumbles….the rib block is in top shape this engine looks pampered those blocks looks similar to the one on a 9.5 MQ I have

opened it up this week ….new coils new everything under the fw even the wick looks new i’ll drop the lu to inspect the pump which I suspect will be fine like the rest of the motor
