        If you live in the USA, read the fine print on just about any article that you purchase be it solid, liquid or gas and you will see a warning from the People’s Republic of California telling you that the thing that you are holding in your hand will cause cancer….  Or maybe just if you are west of the Rockies

          I’m in British Columbia and we get that California warning on new items to.

          I’m guessing the Asian manufacturers print one label and it goes everywhere they ship.

            When I was about 89, my Dad was painting the house with Dutch Boy lead paint. He ran short, and MA had just prohibited the sale of lead paint. Dad sait, get in the car, we’re going to New Hampshire to get some more Dutch Boy! 6 more gallons, and the house was done. Paint lasted 20 years! I wish they still made it!

              Your dad was quite the guy to be painting the house at 110 years old, lol

                    odd…. always  read  lead oxyde  as the main   pigment  used in white paint …

                      Red lead and iron oxide (rust) were both used as pigments in barn paint and boxcar paint. White lead and zinc oxide were used in white house paint.

                        Hum…. looked  it up WIKI….nasty stuff ….brighter man today !  thanks

                        seems that it is  or was also use in RED primer paint .. 🙁
