Ok, working my way through four singles – two early sheet metal tanks with rudders that I believe are pretty original and two later cast tanks without rudders, one of which has been modified.
First question – Of the four motors I have, two have bigger cylinders – one early motor and one cast tank motor. I measured across the water jacket with a set of calipers just ahead of the boss for the priming cup on one side and just ahead of the boss on the other side that has a freeze plug in it. On two of my motors, that measures 4", on the other two it measures 3 3/4"
Can anybody shed some light on this?
