Look what I acquired

I acquired this duo-trol in exchange for helping sort and untangle a pile of control boxes and cables on a trailer in the rain. It was manufactured by fox river manufacturing of Oshkosh, WI. It appears to be a throttle control for early K Mercs

I have a few questions.

Are these common? Are they any good? This one appears to be in excellent condition less the surface rust on the exterior cable shrouds between transom and motor bracket. All moving parts move freely without excess play.

I don’t know anything about them except that I acquired two of them from a rubble pile in a once upon a time marina about 3 weeks ago.
