      Hi Guys,
      Anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1957 Mark 55E? None of my Merc books go back that far.

          Thanks Travis,
          Would that second PDF be the same on the motor side with the dual lever control, minus the mercury switch on the mag? What I’m looking for is the motor side, dual lever control showing wiring to the starter, solenoid, choke, mag, etc… My harness was a little "rigged" by a previous owner. I want to make sure I get it wired correctly without the lamp cord modifications it came to me with.

              Hey Scott, How ya doin? This is the 57 I’ve been working on. Going to end up on the back of one of my 10′ GW Invaders. It’s training for the Mark 58 up next for the other invader.

                Yes I believe so. I really only mess with the single lever controls due to my personal opinion much easier when controlling. Motor looks awesome ! 😯 I just have to do the lower unit on mine. Dave B will chime in soon we’ll see what he has to say.

                  Thank you Travis. Just wish I could have gotten my mag as nice an shiny as yours is! Oh well…nobody will see that when it’s screaming by anyway.

                    just my opinion I would change over to the newer plug in cobra head.
                    that is looking great.

                      I would love to switch it over to the newer style. Where can I find a NOS motor side plug that would work?

                        There all over I would 1st try this site throw up a wanted ad, check out the swap meets in your area or try either Vintage outboards, John McIntosh, Joe Poole, or Old Mercs. I’ll check my stash possibly will just send you one. PM me your location
