Hi guys, I came across an old fellow that is giving up his boat motor repair business. He was originally in Quebec but he moved to Ontario 20 years ago. He has a complete set of manuals, parts list, service bulletins, cross reference, catalogs service manuals etc for the big three (Johnson Evinrude Mercury) as well as various other makes. I estimate over 100 books and an equal number of bulletins and such. He has no idea what he wants for them, as he is suffering from cancer and various other ailments. I want to make a fair offer for all of the paper goods because I am not a vulture looking for an easy mark. I am thinking $500….too high too low? He also has tons of parts, motors specialty tools and various other items that I hope I can get a shot at but he is not sure of his inventory so I am going to spend a weekend with him to see what he has exactly then he will give me a price on it all. He wants to do the paper items separate for what ever reason……I am ok with that. What would you offer for the paper items? there are several seloc manuals as well in the package but most is from the manufacturer
