I’m starting work on a mark 10 I’ve stripped the engine but cannot find what is an acceptable ring gap or a bore size for a standard piston , it seems oversized pistons and rings are just not available
      Thanks

According to the Merc Master Master Manual for 1965 and prior, the bore for the Mark 10 is 2-11/32”. The manual doesn’t specify a ring gap, it simply says to use a ring expander and seat the rings into the grooves, ensuring that the rings float freely in the grooves after lubricating with oil and align properly over the locating pins.

thanks for the reply , the probleum is if i cant bore it out i need to use standard piston and rings but there is a limit at whitch you have to go oversize.
and that is really the issue
