Trying to remove the power head on my Mark7 from the leg due to a bad water leak between the power head and let. Do not see any way to get the two front bolts without removing the tiller handle bracket. Problem is the two front screws on it are too long to let it come lose about to cut both of them and get it apart but still will be an issue when I go to try and reassemble with new screws. Any suggestions?

accessed from the bottom of the swivel bracket with a screwdriver if it is original. just tilt the motor up and align. I replace the bolts with allen bolts makes it much easier.

Thanks Dave, was thinking allen head bolts would be easier to reassemble.
still trying to figure out how to get it apart at this point have not been able to
get the screws out so I can remove the handle bracket.

Turn the motor upside down……sneaky engineers, placed access holes there…

Thanks for the info Richard and Dave, will try flipping it over tomorrow. took a break from that part and rebuilt the carb tonight, there was so much gunk in there surprised it even tried to start, return spring on the throttle was broken too. That part is ready and tank cleaned out.

Thanks Dave and Richard, took me all of maybe 10 min to get it apart tonight found that the little rubber washer that goes on the top of the water tube was missing causing the sprinkler system effect from the back of the power head.
Now to start reassembling with new gaskets and rubber washer.
