Then does that mean you lightly seat it Counter-clockwise?

      quote Buccaneer:

Is that carb one that you have to turn the low speed jet “Clockwise”
to richen the mixture? I’ve been a victim to that cruel hoax more
      than once, lol.

NO – that means that lightly seated is as rich as it gets. If that is too lean, you either have air leaks or the pickup tube down threw the carburetor into the high speed jet is clogged. . . 🙂

I would also perform a compression test to make sure you don’t have stuck rings. The old 30 weight oil that was used back in the day would often carbon up the motor and stick the rings. On my Martin 45, I had this issue. The rings were stuck so bad I had to pull the exhaust cover, then soak in power tune to eventually free them up.

I pulled the O rings and on was deformed and the other cracked, I replaced them. It started on the second pull and It is the kind of carburetor that to make it richer you turn the jet in. Kind of odd ? I need to get it on the boat to fine tune but it is looking promising. I have a 60 to work on later it the carb adjustment the same, the carb looks quite different.
