      I crossed over to the dark side to work on a mid-1970s 7-1/2 HP Merc 75 for a neighbor. I’ve fixed several things on it and the only thing left is to put some tension in the steering, but I have looked all over the steering pivot points and the transom clamp bracket and I can’t find any way to adjust the steering tension. What on the “Dark Side” am I missing here?

        look for a bolt I think under the tilt tube area 1 914 310 7086
