Merc controls experts?

I have a question: I know nothing about Merc motors and controls… I do have 2 Merc controls, and a guy wanrts to buy me one of them for his 1962 50hp Merc… Can I sell one of these to him and be sure it fits??? I want to be sure because the guy is far from here and it will cost a lot to send him… As I know nothing about this stuff, I don’t even know how to check if the cables or connetors are ok

Here are the pictures of the Merc controls I have, one white and one green… the white one is only with driving cables, but the green one has electrical cable…

Both will work on his motor. does he need electric start ? the white one is the correct one for his time frame. hope this helps.
