      So I am dabbling in the Dark Arts and picked up a Mercury Mark 10 that has had a rough life.
      I am slowly getting things resolved one at a time and figured I would clean the carb. Now that it is nice and clean I noticed what I believe to be an "Extra" hole.

      The pencil points to the hole in question. I am pretty sure that it didn’t leave Carl’s place with that hole.

        This is normal. The first time I saw one of these on my AJ-29 I thought the same thing. This allows air in at idle.
