I’ve got my Kg 7 idling well in the tank.  Low speed 1.5 turns out.  Where should i start on the high speed screw?

Had a Kf-7 on the boat a couple weeks ago.
Settings I made in the tank weren’t even close.
Be sure to have something to make adjustments
when you get on the water.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Same here with a mark 7. I warmed it up in the tank and made the pre adjustments. Once out on the lake I had to move it CW to about 3/4 out on the high speed and about 1 full turn on the low.

Thanks. I’ve got it on a hydroplane and I can’t adjust it while underway.  I’ve got it about 1 turn out and was afraid it could be a bit lean.  Next time out I’ll try making 1/4 turn adjustments.  I’d rather be a bit rich.

Add a knob OR solder a penny in the slot then you can reach back without looking and adjust. just like the old day racers did.

Took an old screw driver and ground down the tip
to fit. Got a piece of tubing from the hardware store
and cut it so the tip was in the slot when the tubing
was all the way on the mixture screw. Then epoxyed
the tubing to the screwdriver This thing was happy
with the high speed out½ a turn and the low out 4 turns.
