By the rule of thumb of a gallon per hour at WOT for every 10 hp, you should be fine for a couple hours anyway. The rule of thumb is variable, to say the least. Best bet, I used to tuck a quart bottle of mixed fuel in a safe spot as a get me to shore reserve. If you’re just running around your cottage or the ramp, you’ll be fine. If you’re exploring, it’ll be enough to get you to shore.
Chances are, on a B utility, you’ll give out before your fuel does. They can beat you up a bit, especially if there’s traffic on your waterway. Best option, run it and see how much it uses. Bring a measuring stick if you have to and run it for a half hour. Check your level to get a feel for how much you’re using. Every rig is different. If you have the stamina for long runs, get a bigger tank or a second tank if you feel you need it. Not sure we can definitively say you need X or Y as we don’t know your situation and how far you plan on going away from your dock.
