      Looking at buying a canoe to put my 61 3 hp johnson on. Square stern. Seen a michicraft 12 canoe for sale in my area. Never heard of them. Any body know this brand or have any suggestions for a good stable canoe? Have some small rivers in my area that I can’t get my v bottom on. Thanks.

        Michicraft was founded by one of the founders of AeroCraft, after they sold that company to Browning:

        Michicraft was started in 1970 in Big Rapids, MI by L.B. Harkins. The company was purchased by Meyers Boat Company in the summer of 1993 and moved to Adrian, MI.

        Michicraft canoes had the same kind of “sponsons” in the hull shape that AeroCraft canoes had.

        The original Company name for AeroCraft was Harwill Inc, founded by L.B. Harkins, Leon Harkins, and Doug Wiltse.
