1958 Johnson 10 HP
Made an accomplishment with help from others 😎
Checked and resealed lower gear housing. All parts inside were very clean and no rust.
Replaced water pump and did a test and pumping well.
In preparation to attach the lower end, I saw where I should use BRP Moly Lube on the top of the drive shaft (above the o-ring).
My water pump kit did not come with lube.
I do not have Moly Lube that it calls for. Is there an alternative that could be bought local? I tried the local boat place – not much help. I see that I can order it, just thought there must be something else??
