do they make narrow body (slim) grease gun nozzles for grease zerts

on the 9622a 9.5hp the shifter handle is e/w a grease zert yet it is so close to the lower housing sidewall that a regular grease gun cannot clamp solidly on the zert to inject grease

those zerts seem pressure fitted which I found out by looking closer.

Silly me purchased 45 degree threaded zerts 1/4 by 28 which of course do not thread in and can’t be installed anyway because….. it is to close to the side wall 🙄

Yes, go to an auto supply house. They will have one that slides on from the side.

          Crosbyman,

Yes there are slim grease gun tips for tight quarters. Usually they cost a little more, but worth it.

If you can find one of these push type of grease guns, it will fit all of the fittings on any outboard motor. I think they still make them.

There are grease guns with a pointy end for chainsaw nose rollers

I think the hold-it-on type of grease gun fitting is probably indicated. In my experience anyway, the clamp-on type of coupling often clamps too hard and pulls out the pressed in type of zerk fitting. You can get a kit of various grease fittings–needle, pointy rubber tip, various angles, etc.
