A friend of mine is restoring a Elto 25 hp 22D14E 1955.
I can’t find any decal for this.
Any idea ?In the background it’s a Viking 9.6 1969.
This one should not have this problem 🙂BTW, if anyone has the manual for both …
Thanks.
Philippe.

November 12, 2016 at 5:07 am #47321I used decals from nymarine on both of my Elto & Viking motors. They are excellent quality vinyl decals.
Free manuals here:
http://www.richardlpaquette.ca/vikingmanuals.htmNovember 12, 2016 at 1:32 pm #47328I think the 1955 Elto was only 22.5 HP, and would use a different deck-el style. You probably need a decal for a 1956 or later model.
This was my motor, it is a 1955 model, but I scored the side appliques off a 1956-57 model, since the original ones for the 55 were missing or broken.
I still have leftovers of the orange decals that I had reproduced in vinyl.
Best,

November 12, 2016 at 3:02 pm #47333Seems to be some confusion here. He said it is a 22D14E which is a 1957 rope start 25hp. But it has an electric start decal on it, and electric harness. An electric start 1957 25hp would be a 22DE14E
Also, the lower front cowl has the blanked area for the plug-in cable used on 1957 J/E motors, but the old style cable was still used on Gale motors in 1957. So, looks like a 1957 22DE14E to me.
BTW, 1957 was 12V, earlier ones were 6V.

I saw those on Kijiji. Great deal but too far for me. You can get the decals from nymarine as others have pointed out. He has the paint too.November 13, 2016 at 1:32 am #47366Thanks a lot all.
I must be blind, I had a look on nymarine.ca, of course, but didn’t see them ! 🙂I know Richard Paquette’s website. He’s a nice guy.
