Identification is stamped into clamp bracket. Value is number agreed to by a buyer and a seller. Mercury K1, Wizard WA2 and Sea King Model 8820 were same except for rope plates.  Basic dat is listed on Jason Baxter’s Wizard Outboard under Sea King. Montgomery Ward sourced Model 8820 from and Kiekhaefer un 1940 and Model 8821 in 1941 as low price entry level motors while OMC supplied other outboards. Welcome relief for fisherman tired of rowing to a favorite fishing spot. Vibration not as noticeable  on a heavy wood boat as on a modern 12 foot tinny.

Pretty basic project to restore to running or display. Tank does not look bad.

              Motor value is always

              determined by condition

              and number of motors

              Manufactured.
              I would think the range

              is between $75.00 -$125.00
