I picked up a 1938, if I remember right, 15 B2 frozen, and in really bad shape.  I’m going to cosmetically restore it as a wall hanger.  My question is in regard to the flywheel. I cleaned it with a wire wheel, but it’s still a bit rough. It is the way that it was, originally, with the textured casting finish.  What are the opinions as to whether I should sand it down and polish to a mirror finish for display, or keep it more original?

      Thanks!

I like the polished motor for display. If it isnt too much trouble to make the motor pretty as possible then go for it. A working motor is a different story.
