Thanks with the help from members i was able to get my 1937 neptune ob12a running.I could not have done it without the club.My onley issue is it seems that the spark lever is not in the position for starting and running from what ive seen or read. The lever is to far to the right.Have to go over to advance 3/4 off the way to start but it starts good?Retard much passed left center shuts it off.I think there is something i missed ? Would welcome some advice once again.PS the serial numbers on this are D7 6361 cant find out what that means. Thanks Dave R on to the next motor!
What you describe sounds normal to me.
Lever at around 4:00 o’clock for starting.
Somewhere past the left of center (6:00 o’clock)
shuts them off. These points can vary somewhat
from motor to motor.
