      Just picked up a neptune 4a39. It is a 1939 4 HP. The magneto is a wico. The coil tests hot when checked with a ohm meter from spark wire to spark wire. The points appear to be good. I am assuming it is the condenser that has failed since it has no spark. Just wondering if anyone knows of a replacement that would work.

        Did you clean the points or just look at them? Some types of points need to be spotless or you wont get lit…..

          It sure would help to know the Wico magneto number (for the complete mag). Generally stamped on the mag plate. Knowing that, we could look up the Wico number for the condenser, and from there look up the capacitance.
