      Just picked up a Neptune twin Model 10B6. I see listings for 10A6 for 1940 and am assuming the B is maybe 1941? Have seen posts about it being hard to get coil for these. Was this ever resolved? ie. available Briggs & Stratton part # or alternative part #. Doesn’t appear to have spark but haven’t investigated yet.

        Looking at this list on the Muncie/Neptune site;
        http://muncie-neptuneoutboard.com/munci … ne-models/
        It looks like the B motors are branded Muncie.
        If I’m wrong someone will chime in.

          A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

            Thanks for the replies. Will a John Deere "Pony" coil work for this motor? I don’t see a definitive answer. Look like they work on Lausons

              I have done the John Deere coil swap on an earlier Neptune. The 1940 or 1941 model may have a different magneto. A lot of grinding as I recall.

                  My ’41 11B4 needs a coil also. Do a search for Neptune 6hp coil at top of this page. You’ll find a NOS # and a capacitor for condenser change info.
