Neptune/Waterwitch OB4-1 3s

I recently found a Neptune made Waterwitch with OB4-1  3s stamped on the crankcase.

I don’t see any serial numbers, but also don’t really know where to look.

It looks early, as the decal is not like other’s I’ve seen.

The OB4’s can be 4,5 or 6 hp depending on year.

Does anyone have any information on this model or could provide a link to a person that would?

I thought it was a Johnson 550-75 made Waterwitch when I went to pick it up, so the search is still on for one of those.

Any help provided would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve seen MANY a Neptune outboard of this vintage__ However, not one had the WATERWITCH decal on the petrol tank. Unusual and RARE for sure ! !

 * I’m a former (long-time) boat racer, then a former member of AOMC-AOMCI__  🙂
