Be careful with any requests to confirm your ID or coordinates from your own Internet provider ! 😮

I just received a false e-mail apparently from my IP supplier saying my last IP address did not match my previous one and that I should click on the link to provide and confirm my coordinates .

The request indicated that my " new" IP address was from TEXAS ….

I did a lot of web searching for parts lately… and must have hit a bad site now they want my blood (money)

You gotta be carefull crawling on the web! One extension I like is ‘IP Address And Domain Information’ found in the Chrome Web Store. It’s free and is used to find the IP address, domain name and provider of the web page you are visiting. Once you have the IP address, you can enter it at this site to find the city or country the suspected scammers are operating from.

Email is a bit different as you’ll only get information about your server unless you click on that suspicious link in your mail which might take you somewhere you might not want to go.
