.maybe that year they had no remote shifting and he changed the shifter and….bolted on the retainer clip for the the shift cable…..??

the clip/plate will come off ! if anybody needs it let me know

I just hope covid travel restrictions won’t stop my travel plans

Update: Motor in the boat is worth two in the drink…. :-

Got it… I picked it up this a.m. piston compression feels great coupe bumps on a good tank that is all for now. Family motor … passed down from a true gentleman

final price $110 CDN about 80$US

couple pics for you guys… 🙂 surfaces have some apparent mildew but it is coming off nicely (see left/right changes with a bit of rubbing compound) Decals are nice not to scratched up.

I think this one was given good TLC by P.O.

Lower portion looks real good incl prop and cone no oil leaks on the GC

plugs wires original so likely coils are also 🙂 and cracked

exhaust cover took a hit …what do you all think… bad or normal ?

anyway $80 US with clean 2 hose tank (no apparent rust inside) I won’t convert this one to pump yet.

Is that discoloration typical for this model on what I’ll guess is an exhaust cover? Or does it indicate a problem?
