      For some reason the merc switch bracket is not getting a ground signal.Which is preventing the starter to be activated.
      I have good ground from the battery to the engine block.
      I rather not run another wire to make a ground.
      Lets hear your ideas

          US MEMBER PAY BY CHECK

          Two things:
          1: There is supposed to be a flat ground spring #14, between the rotating gear/shaft and steering bracket (under steering bracket). That was unreliable so later models used a ground wire on the mercury switch screw.

          2. There is supposed to be a braided ground wire #55, between steering bracket and exhaust housing. Below the front pan.

            I figured out a ground that will work will the Merc switch
