My AL AlumaCraft came with a vintage pair of Cully oars made
in Minocqua, Wis. The oar lock pins are tapered about .060",
and the worn out Alumacraft bronze bushings are not tapered,
hence the oars fit pretty sloppy.
Is that normal to find oar locks with tapered pins? I could probably
find new bushings, but not sure how I’d ream them the correct taper.
Of course, if I ever get different oars, those locks probably won’t
be tapered. Anyone ever had such a dilemma? 😮

Oar locks come straight as well as tapered. Find some straight ones.

There are the same oars as mine. Any idea of the vintage by the style of oar locks?
            Emailed you Ed. Thanks.
