Still trying to figure out how to attach photos…..
June 13, 2017 at 12:53 pm #59594An LT with a recoil starter is a DT. Not sure about the rear fuel tank though. LT-38 has the tank in front right under the speed control lever.

June 13, 2017 at 1:29 pm #59599Thanks Fisherman6. OK, the tank is in front under the speed control lever. This motor appears to be an LT37-38 with a recoil – and similar to an
AT10 only 4.2 hp instead of 5 hp. Still trying to figure the photo thing.June 13, 2017 at 1:47 pm #59602June 13, 2017 at 1:55 pm #59603.
why do you think its a 4,2 hp ??
.June 13, 2017 at 6:04 pm #59614It is the same block as a DT38 and LT37 that I have owned previously.

-Ben.
my thinking……..
An "LT" model with a recoil starter is an "AT" but…..then it is a 5 hp for what reason ever.

The AT does look more like the LT with only a recoil, but as you said, the AT is 5hp. I do not know it the AT uses the same block as the LT motors and just have some internal changes that bumped it to 5hp.
