The model number should be on the rope sheave under that recoil ratchet thingy.

Have seen complete outfit on A-50, K-50, and S-45. Also seen pieces for P-50 and V-45.

There is no plate model number under the Ree-Koil casting. There is a fairly thin aluminum shim washer type spacer and that’s about it. Casting number for the flywheel. No model number or serial number under starter. There is a serial number on the side I think. Photobucket is having a hissy fit at the moment. Can’t call an . The serial number stamped on the side is 158793 I believe.

THAT SERIAL NUMBER INDICATES THE YEAR OF MANUFACTURE TO BE 1931. SINCE THE REE-KOIL WAS AN AFTER MARKET ACCESSORY, THERE WAS NO SERIAL NUMBER. I STAMPED MINE TO MATCH THE CORRECT SERIAL NUMBER OF THE MOTOR. HOPE THIS HELPS

Some REE-KOILs had 2 tags which included model number and serial number which matched the one on the crankcase like this early 1931 A-50.

So starting the chase for a Re-Koil, I would have to be looking for a A-50 Re-Koil because they appear to be specific to the engine? What are the chances?
Thanks all, a ton of good information.
