OMC coil source in AOMCI

Maybe I’m not searching correctly, but I was looking for a member named Jim Judkins that in the past sold OMC coils. Does he still do that? Has anyone had any luck with any brand of coil besides OMC (BRP)? I see less expensive coils available but they don’t have good reviews.

all my chineese coils have worked fine … fitted in fine

just keep the little rubber boots on the HV side of old coils Chineese coils don’t come with the boots

I believe Jim has been unable to get those German OMC coils for some time now.

Yeah…..the good ones from Germany are evidently unobtanium these days. I’m glad a bought a few to put back!

Occasionally original OMC coils and the German made Prufrex coils come up for sale on Ebay. At one time Prufrex coils were sold under the Sierra brand name. You have to look closely at the packaging, but if you see “Made in Germany” then they are most likely Prufrex. If you do a search, and sign up for email alerts, you will have an advantage.
